This is one reason why I'm so passionate about this subject...

That is horrible.
In 2008 a soldier was accused of being gay and after he was beaten badly he was shoved in a locker which was dropped out of a high window, killing him instantly. The "don't ask don't tell" policy might be changed, but I'm just afraid that more incidents like these will happen if it does. The thing is people need to have compassion. There shouldn't have to be policies to protect someone from being murdered for who they are. But right now people are being just that intolerant. It sickens me. I hope that people will learn to see people instead of color, culture, sexual preference - differences. We need to see how we all are the same and we all just want to be loved at the end of the day.

Julie -

I agree with you. People need to realize we are all children of God and of worth...no matter what our sexual preference, religion and race. Why can't we just love each other and accept each other? Thats my lifes question!

how sad. everyday of my life i wish we could all just really be equal and friends. Maybe one day. But for now, we should at least be able to get along without killing one another.
